1. The service
Will·e is a learning app that uses artificial intelligence to generate practice questions from study materials that the user provides, and offers optional friend challenges and a parent-managed screen-time reward feature (“App Lock”). By using Will·e you accept these terms. If the user is a child, these terms are accepted on the child’s behalf by a parent or guardian, whose consent is verified as described in our Privacy Policy (will-e.app/privacy).
2. Accounts
One account per user. Choose a nickname that does not reveal the child’s real identity and is not offensive. You are responsible for keeping the device and account access secure. Account recovery uses the parent’s verified email address.
3. AI-generated content — important notice
Practice questions, answers, explanations and chatbot responses in Will·e are generated by an artificial intelligence model. AI-generated content can be incomplete, outdated or simply wrong. It is provided for practice purposes only and must not be relied on as authoritative educational, factual or professional advice. Always verify important information against textbooks, teachers or other reliable sources. Grades and exam results depend on many factors; Will·e makes no promise of learning outcomes.
4. App Lock (screen-time feature)
App Lock is a voluntary reward tool configured by a parent using Apple’s Family Controls on the device. It is provided as-is: it depends on Apple’s operating-system features, device settings and network conditions, and it can be circumvented or fail (for example after OS updates or if the app is removed). It is a support tool, not a guaranteed parental-control or safety mechanism, and it does not replace parental supervision.
5. Subscriptions
Some features require the Pro subscription, an auto-renewing monthly subscription purchased through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple account; the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your device’s App Store subscription settings. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Purchases by children may require parental approval via Apple’s Ask to Buy. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights are handled by Apple under its terms; EU/UK consumers’ mandatory rights are unaffected.
6. Acceptable use
You may not: use offensive or impersonating nicknames; harass other users, including through repeated unwanted challenges; attempt to access other users’ data or disrupt the service; upload material you have no right to use; or use the service for any unlawful purpose. Study materials you photograph are used solely to generate practice content for your own account. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms. To report abuse: tuki@will-e.app.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its design, branding and software are the provider’s property. You retain rights to study materials you submit; you grant us the technical licence necessary to process them for generating your practice content. AI-generated questions within the app may be shared with friends only through the app’s challenge feature.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or accuracy of content — including, without limitation, the accuracy of AI-generated content (section 3) and the effectiveness of App Lock (section 4). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the provider’s total liability for any claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, and the provider is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rights in the EU, UK, Canada or elsewhere, or liability for gross negligence or intent.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete the account at any time (parents: see the Privacy Policy for data deletion). We may terminate accounts for violations of these terms or discontinue the service with reasonable notice; in case of discontinuation, any prepaid subscription period is handled in accordance with Apple’s policies and applicable consumer law.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email to the parent, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Disputes are resolved in Finnish courts or, for consumers, in the courts of the consumer’s domicile; EU consumers may also use the ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/odr) and Finnish consumers the Consumer Disputes Board.
